Tiffany A. Henyard, Supervisor
Ms. Henyard made history in April 2021 as the first African American female and youngest mayor of Dolton, securing over 82% of the vote. The young trailblazer now makes history as the first African American female Supervisor of Thornton Township. Supervisor Henyard is a staunch advocate for policy reform, health care awareness, and community improvement. Supervisor Henyard brings a performance-driven approach to the job, creating a more responsive, streamlined, and efficient delivery of village services while shoring up Dolton’s future.“I am thrilled by the trust and faith the Board has placed in me and know I have big shoes to fill. Supervisor Zuccarelli was my mentor, and I am proud to carry on his work serving the residents of Thornton Township. I look forward to continuing the programs and high level of service our residents have come to expect from their township government”, said Supervisor Henyard after she was sworn in.

What do you enjoy most about public service: The ability to serve the great residents of Thornton Township is my favorite part. I enjoy having sitting down, meeting and having conversations with our residents.

One fact about you that people might not know: I have coached the Dolton Bears for 25 years and I remember every one of the kids’ names
Darlene Gray Everett, Trustee
Trustee Darlene Gray Everett has been serving the communities of Burnham, Calumet City, and Dolton for over 20 years as a school board member. Previously serving as President of School Board District 149, a Board Delegate and Director At-Large for the Illinois School Board Association and Vice-President for the Calumet City Library. She is the owner and operator of Everett Safe Express Transportation LLC, located in Calumet City, IL. Her professional experience also includes working as an Office Manager, Medical Assistant, and District Administrator for the U.S. House of Representatives. Trustee Gray Everett has received numerous awards from organizations, such as the Illinois Service Center, (ISC4) in January of 2015. In March of 2015, Trustee Darlene was recognized as an Emeritus Board Leadership Academy Fellow. She has been married to Charles Everett for 32 years and they have three children. What do you enjoy most about public service: Whenever I see the joy that our programs offer people whether that is getting a food box or just answering a question, it is the reason why I got into public service
