About the program

Books at home, every month, at no cost to your family.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library mails free, high-quality, age-appropriate books to registered children from birth to age five. Every book is chosen to spark curiosity and create joyful reading moments at home.

Now that Thornton Township has joined as a partner, more local families can build a home library together — one book in the mail at a time.

The simple promise: register an eligible child, and the Imagination Library mails a free book to your door each month until age five.

Confirm the program is available at your child's address and start the sign-up process.

Register your child

A parent or caregiver registers each eligible child from birth to age five. Registration is required before books can be mailed.

Read together

Once registration is processed, age-appropriate Imagination Library books arrive by mail to enjoy with family and loved ones.
