About Transportation
Thornton Township Senior Transportation provides a vital curb-to-curb service for residents aged 60 and older, helping them maintain their independence and stay connected to the community. In 2023, the Board of Trustees expanded the service to offer greater flexibility, allowing seniors to travel anywhere within township boundaries. Each year, the department facilitates over 40,000 rides for Thornton Township seniors.
